Roof Replacements and Repairs at Three Campuses

Mercedes ISD is soliciting Requests for Competitive Sealed Proposals from qualified Roofing Contractors interested in performing services for the roof replacements and repairs at three campuses (Early College Academy, Mercedes High School and Sgt. Manuel Chacon Middle School). Proposer will be required to provide a Proposal Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, or Cashier's Check in the amount of 5% of the largest possible total Proposal, including consideration of Proposal alternates, with each proposal. Bid Bonds shall be issued by a Surety acceptable to the OWNER and meeting the requirements of the General Conditions of the Contract. Bid Bonds shall be prepared on forms meeting all the requirement of applicable State of Texas statutes. Failure to provide the Bid Bond with the proposal will constitute a non-responsive proposal and the proposal will not be considered The files will be delivered on CD / DVDMedia and shipped directly to the proposer (Cost of shipping will be at proposer's expense). The successful Proposer will be required to provide 100% Performance, Labor and Materials Payment Bonds in strict conformance with all the requirements of the Contract Documents. Failure to provide required bonds will result in forfeiture of Proposal Security. No Proposal may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after Proposal opening date The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informality, or to reject any or all Proposals. Sites can be visited right after the pre-proposal conference. If additional viewing is required, access can be granted upon notification and coordination with the Owner.
