Description

The intent of this Contract is to provide for the construction and completion in every detail of work described. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and transportation necessary to complete the work in accordance with the plans and specifications. Lines and grades will be the responsibility of the Contractor. Sufficient benchmarks have been provided on the contract plans to perform the work in this proposal. The work of this project shall include, but not be limited to, the construction of approximately 1,700 linear feet of stone walking trail including site clearing, grading, and restoration. A concrete, handicap accessible parking stall with appropriate signage and striping is also included in the project. Also included is reconstruction and restoration of a historic bridge along the trail's alignment. Bridge items include, but not limited to: brick and stone masonry repointing, permanent and temporary sheeting, temporary stream bypass and dewatering, castin-place concrete culvert with steel reinforcement, excavation, and stone backfill. Alternate 1 shall include the construction of a fishing pier, including but not limited to: foundation, timber piles, joists, decking and railing. Alternate 2 shall include an additional 620 foot segment of the walking trail.
