Window Replacement

**As of May 25, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. Replacement of City Hall Windows SCOPE OF WORK It is anticipated that the contractor will provide the replacement windows and installs with minimal disruption to the day to day work for City Hall employees and patrons. The Department of Facilities will coordinate with the Contractor an install schedule to be able to give City staff significant time to know of the disruption in their respective offices. The contractor will have availability for installs from 7:30 AM to Midnight Monday through Thursday & Friday 7:30 AM to 11:00 PM on all working days. Weekend construction would need to be coordinated weeks ahead of time to ensure available staffing. The City of New Britain is seeking to replace the windows that were installed during the 1991 renovation and addition of New Britain City Hall. The design and technical specifications have been done by Quisenberry, Arcari, & Malik Architecture and are attached and part of this bid documents. The City has tested the windows and related trims for lead paint, the windows on the front of the building of the first floor were not replaced in 1991, and date of install is unknown. Hazardous materials tested should not be included in your pricing. Question Deadline 03/09/2023 Removal / Replacement of (160) existing windows with new fiberglass composite windows including adjacent trim & blinds as indicated in the contract documents. Work also includes the rehabilitation & restoration of the (11) 1st floor historic windows and installation of new interior storms on the 1 st floor windows, as indicated in the contract documents.
