Description | Sealed Proposals will be received by The Borough of Sewickley, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania for the following project: 929&932 CRESCENT AVE. DEMOLITION PROJECTS Contract A: Base Bid This project includes demolition of the houses and located at 929, and 932 Crescent Avenue, with lot and block numbers 421-D-236 and 421-D-376, respectively. The scope of the work includes removal of the dwellings and their contents including offsite disposal to a site provided by the Contractor; asbestos abatement; verification that all existing utilities have been disconnected, capping of the sanitary sewer lateral; site grading that includes removal of wooden walls and restoration of disturbed grades, complete in place. Compliance is required with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of 1961, P.L. 987, No. 442; Title VI and other applicable provision of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; the Department of Labor Equal Opportunity Claus (41 CFR 60-1.4); Executive Order 11625 (Utilization of Minority Business Enterprise); Executive Order 12138 (Utilization of Female Business Enterprise); in compliance with Section 504 of Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990; the Allegheny County MBE/WBE Program enacted July, 1981, which sets forth goals of 13 percent Minority and 2 percent Female Business Enterprise; and the Allegheny County Ordinance #6867-12, setting forth goals of 5 percent Veteran Owned Small Businesses. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided by The Borough of Sewickley. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of Sewickley Borough in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within 15 days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. The Proposals must be made to The Borough of Sewickley, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and shall remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days. No Bidder may withdraw his Proposal during the sixty (60) day period without forfeiting his Bid guarantee. Performance, Maintenance, and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workman's Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement upon acceptance of the Proposal from the successful Bidder.
