Description | Construction Services for Construction of the Neighborhood Depot Project at 146 Central Avenue, Owego, New York 13827. Contract: General Work Contract All Requests for Information must be received no later than Friday, February 10, 2023, at 12:00pm. Any RFIs received after this time will receive no response. All inquiries shall be directed to the Architect. Neighborhood Depot, Inc reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or to reject any proposal because of informality. General Work Contract: the project consists of construction of a new 15,970+/-square foot, story, slab on grade wood frame facility. This work shall include demolition of the single story (partial 2nd story) Rural Ministry slab-on-grade building (including foundation and break-up and removal of the slabs and associated structures) tree removal, concrete stair removal, the general construction, site work and paving, mechanical, electric, and plumbing construction of a new facility on new foundations and slab, new utility services connections to existing municipal and private utility services, interior and exterior finishes, interior casework and fixtures. The Date of Commencement of the Work shall be the NOTICE TO PROCEED. The Contractor shall achieve Substantial Completion of the Project not later than the date Set forth in the Contract Documents. All questions will be addressed in subsequent written Addenda to be issued to all Bidders. All Proposals shall include a Stipulated Sum in Dollars and in Words and shall be Submitted in duplicate on the provided form and accompanied by a Certified or Bank Check or Bid Bond in the amount equal to 5% of the proposal amount. A Non-Collusive Bidding Certification shall be included with each bid. This Project is a Prevailing Wage Rate project and will require Payment and Performance Bonds as set forth in the conditions for the contract. Tioga County strongly encourages Minority and Women Owner Business Enteprises and Section 3 Fims to apply. Tioga County requires that the General Contractor shall make every reasonable effort to achieve the workforce requirements for minority, Women owner and service-disabled Participation. Owners Right to Accept or Reject Bids: The Owner further reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids based on the following: 1. Cost 2. Schedule 3. Contractor's MWBE/SDVOB Participation 4. Contractor's ability to meet Insurance requirements. 5. Contractor's ability to meet bonding requirements.
