Description

1 40 FT 60” x 20’ aluminum alloy pipe that meets or exceeds AASTO M 196 and AASHTO M 197 requirements and will provide as estimated service life of 75 years or greater in recommended environments, designed to meet or exceed LFRD HL-93 loading, and the forces applied while being installed during the slip lining process. The inside of the pipe linear shall consist of a smooth interior with a Manning’s roughness coefficient “n” of 0.012 or less. 2 6 EA ¼” thick internal aluminum flanges made of the same material as the liner or 5052 aluminum alloy and shall be fully welded onto both ends of each pipe sections in accordance with ASWD 1.2 Lates Edition. The flange and bolt connections shall be designed to meet or exceed LFRD HL 93 loading and the forces applied while being connected to the pull/cones during the slip lining process. (supplied as each for a total quantity of 6 flanges inclusive of all hot dipped galvanized fasteners incidental to each flange). The flange shall not extend into pipe such as to affect the flow characteristics of 60 inch inside diameter smooth wall pipe. 3 24 EA Grout ports – Ports shall be aluminum with 2” NPT female threads and male threads on with hot dipped galvanized plugs and shall be fully welded to the linear around the perimeter of the in the ports. grout ports shall be spaced at third points along the length of linear and positioned at the 10, 12, 2, and 6 o’clock positions around the circumference of the pipe. These ports shall not project past the widest portion of the outside diameter of the linear nor shall it project into the inside diameter to where it will affect the manning number or snag debris while in operation. 4 24 EA Alignment pins/ Offset bolts ¾” by 18” galvanized hex bolts. Female threads shall be constructed as the 5 same aluminum alloy as the pipe linear or 5052 aluminum alloy and welded to the exterior of the pipe linear. 5 2 EA Pull/Push Cones with Flanges The pull/push cones with flanges shall be constructed of a suitable material that will be capable of withstanding the stress of the pulling and pushing operation. Flanges shall be affixed to the cones for attachment to the internal pipe linear flanges for installations. 6 1 EA Manufacturer shall provide on-site technical assistance during the slip lining and grouting operation for up to 2 days. The on-site technician shall be trained in the slip lining and grouting process using these materials.
