Water Plants No. 1 and No. 2 - Four Corners Area

The work covered under this specification consists of furnishing all labor, materials, transportation, tools, supplies, equipment and appurtenances, and the performance of all work and operations required for the drilling, construction, developing, testing and equipping a small- to moderate-capacity, public supply water well, complete as specified. Furnish and erect one (1) glass-fused-to-steel bolted water storage tank, including foundation, tank structure, free span dome, and tank appurtenances as shown on the submittal drawings and described herein. All required labor, materials and equipment shall be included. Fort Bend County Fresh Water Supply District No. 2 (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: WATER PLANTS NO. 1 AND NO. 2 TO SERVE THE FOUR CORNERS AREA BY FORT BEND COUNTY FRESH WATER SUPPLY DISTRICT NO. 2, FORT BEND COUNTY, TEXAS Project Number: 130-15-005 The Project includes the following Work: Construction of Water Plant No. 1 and Water Plant No. 2 within the Four Corners Area of Fort Bend County Fresh Water Supply District No. 2 Bids are requested for the following Contract: Water Plants No. 1 and No. 2 to serve the Four Corners Area by Fort Bend County Fresh Water Supply District No. 2, Project Number: 130-15-005 Owner anticipates that the Project's total bid price will be approximately $4,300,000. The Project has an expected duration of 365 days. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. American Iron and Steel Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials.
