Description

As of January 4, 2022, this project is in the conceptual phase. An engineer has not been selected. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to June 2022. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Cape Fear Public Utility Authority (CFPUA) requests Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from consulting engineering firms for the design, permitting and bidding services for upgrades on two ozone generators power supply units The project will generally consist of developing contract drawings and technical specifications, obtaining necessary permits, and assisting in the bidding process. The construction administration and observation-based services may be awarded at a later date. CFPUA will address questions regarding the RFQ until 2:00 PM on July 1, 2021. Questions submitted after this time will not addressed. Questions concerning this advertisement should be directed to Julia Faircloth, Procurement Manager, Cape Fear Public Utility Authority, at bids@cfpua.org. The scope of work is expected to include the services described below. No guarantee is expressed or implied by the CFPUA that all services will be performed or that the selected consultant will perform all services associated with the project. The CFPUA may terminate work or pursue other consultant selections at any phase of the project. The CFPUA selection team will place strong emphasis on a firm's ability to meet the schedule of deliverables outlined below. The selected consultant will be expected to complete final plans and specification in accordance with the project schedule shown below, or sooner. CFPUA will provide comments on all design submittals generally within 2 weeks from the date received. o Submit SOQ July 13, 2021 o CFPUA Selects Firm(s) July 9, 2021 o Complete Scope and Contract August 6, 2021 o 60% design documents October 29, 2021 o 90% design documents December 3, 2021 o Final contract documents and permits January 7, 2022.
