Project was awarded to the following bidders: General Trades - Trumble Group for $849,000 Metal Studs, Acoustical Ceilings, & Drywall - Ritsema for $180,500 Alum Windows, Entrances, & Storefronts - Midwest Glass & Mirror for $201,400 Mechanical - R.W. Lapine for $4,880,000 Electrical - Hi-Tech for $387,500 Controls - Control Net for $594,000 plus alternate $4,000 total of $598,000 Technology - Electromedia for $26,000 For Kalamazoo Central High School HVAC Improvements All work for the complete construction ofthe Project will be under one or more prime contracts with the Owner based on bids received and on combinations awarded. The Construction Manager will manage the construction ofthe Project. Bid security in the amount offive percent (5%) ofthe Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. All proposals shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship (or lack ofrelationship) that exists between the owner or any employee ofthe bidder and any member ofthe Board ofEducation ofthe Kalamazoo Public Schools or the Superintendent ofthe School District. The District shall not accept a bid that does not include a sworn and notarized disclosure statement The successful Bidders will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds for one hundred percent (100%) oftheir Contract amount priorto execution ofContracts. Contractors submitting bids for the performance of any Work as specified in this building Project should make such Bids to Kalamazoo Public Schools. Contractors are advised that the Contract as finally entered into with any successfill Bidder shall be entered into with the Kalamazoo Public School. The Ownerreserves the right to accept or reject any Bid (or combination ofBids) and to waive any irregularities in bidding. All Bids may be held for a period not to exceed 120 days before awarding contracts.
