Description | **AS of June 08, 2023, the award amount is not yet determined. The County of Volusia, Airport is seeking a single, responsive and responsible bidder for the construction of Daytona Beach International Airport Parking Lot Improvements Wayfinding Signage located at 700 Catalina Drive, Daytona Beach, Florida 32114. The lowest responsive and responsible bidder shall be responsible for all applicable permitting, labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services, and incidentals necessary to complete all Work required by the specifications and as shown on the drawings. Term: Total contract time: 210 days In accordance with the American Disabilities Act and Section 286.26, Florida Statutes, persons with disabilities needing a special accommodation to participate in the proceedings, or an interpreter to participate in any proceedings, should contact the countys ADA Coordinator at 386-248-1760 for assistance, at least two business days before any meeting date. Assisted listening system receivers are available for the hearing impaired, and can be obtained from the Deputy Clerk by contacting the countys ADA Coordinator at 386-248-1760. A Bid bond shall accompany each Bid in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid amount and shall be valid for a period not less than one hundred twenty (120) days. If a Bid bond is used, the Bidder shall complete and submit the Bid bond form provided in this solicitation. After the County and the successful Bidder have executed a written Contract and the successful Bidder has recorded an acceptable performance and payment bonds or if one hundred twenty (120) days have passed after the date of the formal opening of the Bids and no Contract has been awarded, the Bid security of any Bidder will be returned upon written demand. The scope of work shall include the removal of the signs existing vinyl, preparing and cleaning the surface, applying digitally printed custom sign faces for overhead signs, and painting and installing new vinyl letters and graphics for ground mounted signs. Color samples of paint, vinyl letters and graphics shall be submitted to the County Project Manager for approval prior to starting the field work. B. The project also includes four (4) new entry/monument type signs. This includes the complete turn key fabrication and installation of four (4) new monument signs. This includes, but not limited to, demolition and disposal of existing monument signs (and complete removal of the foundation), surveying, permitting, engineering, earthwork/grading, landscaping, electrical, & Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) associated with this scope of work contained in the plans and specifications. C. For sign demolition and signs that require removal and replacement, the Bidder shall completely familiarize themselves with the work required for removal. The as-builts are provided in these bid documents. The Contractor shall be responsible for reviewing the as-builts and informing the County Project Manager if the as-built conditions do not match the as-built plans. All signs identified on the plans to be removed shall be carefully removed and provided to the airport. The airport may elect to not retain the signs and therefore the Contractor shall be responsible for removal and disposal of the signs if directed. |
