Description | Services the Awardee will perform include but are not limited to the following: 1. Mobilization and demobilization, temporary tree and plant protection, and construction waste management. Construction administration responsibilities including project management and coordination, construction progress documentation, photographic documentation, quality requirements, project record documents, coordination of construction meetings, preparation and distribution of meeting minutes, preparation and updating of submittals, RFI logs and other project logs, construction sequencing and schedules. 2. Coordination with Project Landscape Architect, CPD Project Manager, Chicago Boat and Yatch Club, and Westrec. 3. Protection of existing surrounding structures such as trees, utilities, lighting and all other associated features to remain. 4. Providing temporary measures including temporary facilities, utilities, fencing, erosion and sediment control, excavation support and protection, signage and safety measures for park patrons. 5. Site Landscape Architecture work includes but is not limited to site demolition and plant protection, materials, layout and details for installation of proposed pavements, curbs, jointing, bicycle racks, ornamental fence, boulders, park ID sign, ADA parking sign, and grading. There are notes on the Site Materials drawings related to the future locations of surface mounted benches, trash / recycling receptacles, and interpretive signage. Landscape Architecture drawings do not show any details of these elements. These site improvements are labeled as By Others. N.I.C. - For Reference Only. 6. Site Civil work includes but is not limited to existing conditions, proposed drainage and utility, erosion and sediment control, and operations and maintenance. 7. There are notes on the Site Electrical drawings related to the proposed conduit extents from an existing distribution panel to a new distribution panel. Contractor shall coordinate with ComEd representative or Chicago Boat & Yatch Club, Westrec as required. Landscape Architecture drawings do not show any site improvements at this location. All areas disturbed due to construction activity shall be restored to finished grade per the requirements of the specifications herein. 8. Contractor shall provide Soil Erosion, Sedimentation Control, Construction Management plans and submit to Owner's Representative prior to construction for review and approval. 9. Project Alternates include: a. Add Alternate No. 1 includes ALL proposed planting material and planting soil on site: Trees, Shrubs, Perennials, Ornamental Grasses, Sod Type 1, Sod Type 2, Planting Mixes 1 - 2AB, landscape edging, Planting Soil Type 1 (Trees), Planting Soil Type 2 (Planting Beds), Planting Soil Type 3 (Seeded Areas), Planting Soil Type 4 (Sod1), and Planting Soil Type 5 (Sod2). b. Add Alternate #2 includes precast concrete entry wall and, cast-in-place concrete footing for the wall, granite boulder Type E and any selective demolition and new pavement work required to install the entry wall and boulder. |
