Galvanized Pipe Replacement (RGH)

New piping configuration and layouts to include piping, valves, fittings, meters, and other apparatuses shall be installed as originally configured unless otherwise specified herein. Reference as-built drawings for piping configuration and layout. All piping, valves, fittings and apparatuses shall be installed, supported, insulated, labeled, color coded, inspected, disinfected, and tested in strict accordance with the latest edition of Applicable Publications referenced in Paragraph PART 2 1.14. Replace one (1) 8-inch X 6-inch Cast Iron Tee with Ductile Iron Tee in LowerLevel Garage Mechanical Room (Rm G-203) Replace approximately 40 linear feet of 6-inch Cast Iron Pipe with Ductile Iron Pipe to include fittings, valves, piping, and apparatuses in Lower-Level Garage Mechanical Room (Rm G-203) Ductile Iron Pipe materials shall conform to AWWA C151. Replace approximately 530 linear feet of 5-inch Galvanized Domestic Water Piping with 5-inch Copper L Water Piping. Including fittings, valves, piping, and associated apparatuses. Copper L Tubing shall conform to ASTM B 88. Replace existing domestic water booster system with new water booster system from approved representative, Shafer, Troxell, & Howe, Inc. Reference Domestic Water Booster Pump Budget from Shafer, Troxell, & Howe, Inc. System manufacturing, delivery, and installation cost shall range from $55,000.00 - $57,000.00 System shall be designed to interface and operate with existing WSSC Water domestic water system. Water Booster System shall be pre-manufacturer and factory tested at the manufacturers facility. System shall be transported and delivered as a complete assembled system. Install new equipment on existing concrete equipment pad. Anchor per manufacturer’s instructions. Install 3-inch Full-Port Ball Valve on existing Copper Domestic Water Piping in second floor Mechanical Room. Valve shall be installed in a location where it is accessible and operational. Coordinate valve installation location with WSSC Water Project Manager.
