Panorama Park Construction

This report includes the hydrologic and hydraulic design analyses for the Panorama Park project. Project improvements generally consist of renovating the existing park to incorporate improved outdoor recreation and create a neighborhood amenity. In accordance with Colorado Springs development criteria, a full-spectrum detention basin will be constructed within the southwest portion of the site to provide both water quality treatment and stormwater discharge attenuation. The detention basin will capture the site’s stormwater runoff and discharge towards the Sand Creek – Peterson Field tributary at the southeast corner of the site. Additional design practices such as minimizing directly connected impervious areas and sheet flow dispersion of stormwater runoff were utilized in the design.
