Main Library Heating Boiler Upgrade

The Evanston Main Library is a 125,000 sq/ft facility located in downtown Evanston. This facility went online in 1994 and is in need of a heating boiler/boiler system upgrade. This upgrade will also make a major contribution toward the City of Evanstons Climate Action and Resilience Plan 2025 (CARP). The bid attachments lists the scope of work, job specifications, and design documents. Bid Bond: 5% of Contract Amount. The boilers are located on the fourth floor of the library. . New boilers will be high efficiency condensing type. . Scope includes demo of the existing boilers and associated piping, electrical, controls. Installation of new boilers, controls, connection to the existing gas and hot water systems. Provide new gas venting and combustion air ductwork. Scope includes all modifications to the existing building envelope required for the boiler installation including roofing, exterior wall modification and patching and existing louver modification.
