Warhill Sports Complex Outdoor Basketball Replacements

General Services and Parks and Recreation are in need of the replacement of three (3) outdoor basketball courts located at the Warhill Sports Complex. The following are minimum specifications in which would be acceptable. 1. Demo existing courts and rebuild three (3) basketball courts, approximately 210’ x 105’, 2,450 SY 2. Remove and properly dispose of six existing basketball goals, fencing, including fabric, rails, gates, posts, and fence post foundations. 3. Cut off and cap four existing drains. Existing drainage pipes to be abandoned in place and filled with suitable flowable fill. 4. Mill existing court to depth of 12”. Inject soil cement to create additional stability during milling operation. All excess millings to be disposed of on-site at the storage facility behind the Stadium. 5. Reshape existing stone base and laser grade, place and compact 6” of 21-A base stone over court area. Furnish and install six Bison Ultimate Fixed Height 6” square black post with unbreakable polycarbonate 42’ X 72” backboard with breakaway goal with 72” safe play area. Court layouts are to be the same as existing courts. Installation process is to comply with industry standards and manufacturer’s standards for installation. 6. Install 1’ X 1’ concrete curb surrounding the court in which the new fence posts will be installed and to establish suitable grade and drainage for courts. Finished court grade should provide a maximum 1% slope to provide sheet flow drainage towards the existing BMP on the north-east side of the courts. 7. Furnish and install approximately 630 LF of black vinyl standard fence 10’ high enclosing basketball courts. Terminal posts to be 3” O.D., line posts to be 2 ½” O.D., 1 5/8” top, middle and bottom rails, 9 gauge fusion bonded fabric, four walk gates that meet ADA standards. 8. Place and compact 1.5” leveling course of virgin-mix asphalt. 9. Place and compact 1.5” surface course of virgin-mix asphalt over leveling course. 10. Furnish and apply one coat of acrylic resurfacer over entire court surface. Flood courts to check for low areas/ponding in accordance with American Sports Builders Association guidelines. Remedy any low areas per guidelines. 11. Furnish and apply second coat of acrylic resurfacer over entire court surface after remedies, if any. 12. Furnish and apply the acrylic color finish system, consisting of two textured color filler coats and one textured color finish coat. This includes standard colors. 13. Layout, tape and hand paint 2” white playing lines on same.
