Description | A. The contractor shall be fully responsible for the performance and completion of all work as outlined in these specifications. The contractor shall employ sound horticultural practices as specified by Florida Green Industries best management practices. Supervision of personnel shall be conducted in a competent and professional manner. B. All areas are to be maintained in a condition that is acceptable to the Town contract manager. No work shall be done before 7 a.m., or on Sundays. No work shall be performed after 7 p.m. Work may be authorized in the case of inclement weather, on Sundays by the Utilities Director or designee. C. When mowing in road right of way areas, personnel are required to wear safety vests. Proper MOT including devices such as safety signs, “Workers Ahead” notices, cones, flagmen or other warning devices shall be used to alert motorists of work in the area. MOT shall follow FDOT Index 600 standards. All signs shall be temporary, and shall be removed at the end of each workday. All signage must be in accordance with the Florida Department of Transportation’s Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices and Safety Practices. All vehicles shall be marked and identified per State and Local codes. OSHA standards shall be utilized where applicable. D. Any damage to the road, facilities, services, utilities, irrigation systems, tree stakes or straps, or vegetation caused by the action of the contractor shall be repaired or replaced at the expense of the contractor to the satisfaction of the Town of Davie. The Town shall be notified for any damage beyond minor damage. Failure to restore said property within three (3) working days following notification will result in a deduction from the next invoice to compensate the Town for expenses incurred to restore the property to its original condition. |
