Description

2021 Water Main Replacement Installation of approximately 340’ of 6” water main in Alley going from Wallace Ave and Barrett Ave between Main Street and 1st St SE. (2 options). To include 2 services to be reconnected with new curbstops out of the alley way and one new service installed with a curbstop out of the alley way. A new 6” T and valve will be installed on the east end of the project and west end will be installed onto the current 6” PVC pipe. City will grind asphalt where needed. Locating of underground utilities will be the responsibility of the contractor. Contractor will be responsible for temporary water connections to businesses affected by construction. Material to be compacted back to 95% capacity and alley to be reshaped. Option 1: Install 6” 200 PSI gasketed PVC pipe and all connections. City will provide all material for the project. Option 2: Pipe burst or bore 6” water main with 6” SDR21/D2241 RJIB Certa-Lok Yelowine or equivalent piping to the connections needed.
