Reclamation District 17 Levee Access Gates

The City of Lathrop invites sealed informal bids for the construction of public improvements for the Reclamation District 17 Levee Access Gates, City of Lathrop, California. The scope of work to be performed under this contract is generally described as provision of materials and construction of two (2) steel tunnel gates and two (2) steel pipe gates to control access to Reclamation District 17's levees on the San Joaquin River in Lathrop. The value of this work is estimated at $30,000 and requires the following bonds at the indicated percentages of contract value: Bid (10%), Payment (100%), Performance (100%) and a Guaranty Bond (10%) at the completion of the project, valid for one year. A valid California C-13 Fencing Contractor's license is required to bid on this project. DIR Registration. Each Bidder submitting a proposal to complete the work, labor, materials and/or services ("Work") subject to this procurement must be a Department of Industrial Relations registered contractor pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5 ("DIR Registered Contractor"). A Bidder who is not a DIR Registered Contractor when submitting a proposal for Work is deemed "not qualified" and the proposal of such a Bidder will be rejected as nonresponsive. Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5, all Subcontractors identified in a Bidder's Subcontractors' List shall be DIR Registered Contractors. If awarded the Contract for the Work, at all times during performance of the Work, the Bidder and all Subcontractors, of any tier, shall be DIR Registered Contractors. The engineer's estimate for the work contemplated by the Base bid schedule is $30,000 The work to be performed under this contract is generally described as, but not necessarily limited to provision of materials, drilling into concrete and welding to fabricate two (2) steel tunnel gates and two (2) steel pipe gates. All project materials shall be supplied by the Contractor, and the Work shall be performed in accordance with the Standard Specifications and the Construction Documents as defined in the General Conditions. The Work shall be complete, and all work, materials, and services not expressly shown or called for in the Construction Documents which may be necessary for the complete and proper construction of the Work in good faith shall be performed, furnished, and installed by the Contractor as though originally specified or shown in said Construction Documents, at no increase in cost to the City.
