Description | **As of May 1, 2023, project was awarded to MAR CONSTRUCTION COMPANY INC but awarded amount is not available.** The SCDMV is seeking bids from qualified contractors to demolish the employee entrance slab at the SCDMV Anderson at 331 Highway 29 Bypass North, Anderson, SC, 29621, replace it with a concrete slab on grade with the facility's interior flooring, adding steps and handrails. DESCRIPTION: Re-solicitation of 540004923 SCDMV Anderson Entrance. 1) Demolish and remove existing angled employee entrance slab, with caution not to disturb the aluminum canopy support post. 2) Construct new employee entrance. Form, add fill material, and manually compact or fill with concrete to achieve grade of facility concrete interior floor. Place 6 mil poly and welded wire in form and raise to half thickness during concrete placement. Install expansion material between existing facility slab and new concrete placement. This placement will be 6' x 6'. Vibrate edges to assure there are no voids on all concrete placements. Finish to be light broom. 3) Form and add a 4' x 4' extension to the entrance platform. This extension will face the HVAC units. Exact placement will be determined by rise of access steps from asphalt surface of "alley way." 4) Fabricate and place 1 1/2 " black iron handrails around perimeter of all constructed concrete pads and down steps. Handrails will have top rail, mid rail, and 4" toe kick as required. Ends of handrails facing "alley way" will be mushroom in design. Handrails will be primed and receive two coats of gloss black exterior paint. 5) Work may be accomplished during normal work hours. It will be necessary to work with the facility management staff to ensure access of facility personnel. Normal work hours for this facility are Monday Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 08:30AM - 05:00PM and Wednesday from 09:30AM - 05:00PM. 6) Contractor must remove all construction material. Use of the SCDMVV's dumpster is prohibited. 7) Contractor must return the work area to the same condition it was prior to work starting. 8) Contractor will be required to repair any damage caused to the facility that is not a part of this Scope of Work at the Contractor's expense, if the damaged is not caused by an approved operation in this Scope of Work. 9) Bid bond not required. |
