Description | Wicomico County is seeking bids from qualified Vendors to contract for the replacement of existing fence material around the basketball court at the Kilbirnie Park, in conformity with the requirements contained herein Bid Documents. Questions must be addressed in writing to Wicomico County Purchasing at purchasing@wicomicocounty.org. The last date to submit questions for clarification will be noon on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. The last day for questions is noon on Thursday, February 23, 2023. 1. Remove and dispose 120' of existing galvanized chain link fence including poles. 2. The existing poles and footers shall be removed and the holes backfilled and compacted to grade. a. This work is to be done prior to the court renovation. 3. Once the court renovation has been completed you are to furnish and install 120' of 10' high galvanized #9 GA Fabric with 2" mesh. 4. The fabric to have a knuckle finish. 5. The fence will go in the same location where the existing fence was removed from. 6. The poles are to be SS40 2" with top and bottom rails a. The top and bottom rails shall be 1 5/8" SS40 7. The terminal post should be 3" SS40 8. The fabric is to be securely fastened to all terminal post by 1/4 " x 3/4 " galvanized tension bar with heavy 9-gauge pressed steel bands spaced approximately 14" apart. The fabric is to be fastened to all rails using 9-gauge tire wires spaced 24" apart. 9. The poles are to be placed outside of the asphalt in such a way that no gap exists between the fence fabric and the asphalt. a. The poles are to installed in a hole that has a depth of 36" and a width of 12". b. The pole shall have the hole filled completely with cement. 10. No equipment will be allowed on the new courts at any time. 11. This work to be done after the Court renovation. |
