Forest and Ontario Traffic Calming

Project Owner Number: 22-8 Project Category Code: Pedestrian Improvements, Roadway Lighting, Street/Road Asphalt Resurfacing and Milling, Construction, Street/Road Brick Reconstruction/Repair Description: In general, the improvements will require the following construction: asphalt pavement milling and replacement, brick paver crosswalk removal and replacement, brick paver sidewalk removal and replacement, concrete sidewalk removal and replacement, concrete curb and gutter removal and replacement, signage, pavement marking, landscaping, light pole removal and replacement, conduit installation, installation of signed traffic control, and all appurtenant work thereto. The work will take place on Ontario Street and Forest Avenue in the Village of Oak Park, Cook County, beginning East of Marion Street to South of the Austin Gardens Park Alley on Forest Avenue. The Village of Oak Park reserves the right to issue plans and specifications only to those contractors deemed qualified. All prospective bidders must prove they are pre-qualified by the Illinois Department of Transportation by providing a certificate of eligibility to the Engineering Division at which time a password will be issued for access to the online bid documents. This project is financed with federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and thus is subject to all federal rules, regulations and guidelines No bid documents will be issued after 4:00 p.m. on the working day preceding the date of bid opening.
