Description

Installation of five Port-furnished baggage claim podiums in the baggage claim area with new casework, power, and data wiring. The work includes ceiling modifications to accommodate the new power and data wiring, concrete floor cutting and patching, and carpet patching and repair. The Port's overall small business participation target is 20 percent of contract dollars awarded The amount of the check, letter of credit, or bond shall be equal to at least 10 percent of the total amount bid. The check, letter of credit, or bond will be held by the Port as security and a guaranty that the bidder will execute the Agreement, give satisfactory evidence of insurance, and furnish a 100 percent performance bond and a 100 percent labor and material payment bond The Contractor promises that all work under this Contract shall be substantially complete within 70 days from the date specified in the written Notice to Proceed. The Contractor agrees to pay, as liquidated damages to the Port for any delay, the sum of $500 per day for each day of delay beyond the substantial completion date so promised. The Contractor further promises that all work under this Contract shall be complete, having gained a successful final inspection and received final acceptance from the Port, within 45 days after substantial completion. Final payment will not be made until the work is judged complete by the Port.
