Description | All requests for information (RFI) must be submitted in writing and received no later than July 20, 2022 at 2:00 PM. Questions can be sent by email to rberger@applevalley.org Engineer's Estimated Cost: $180,000 to $230,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Pre-Qualification for Bidders: Not Required License Type Required: A or C-21 Project Duration: 30 Work Days Liquidated Damages: $500.00 Per Work Day The Project generally consists of providing the necessary labor, equipment, and materials to completely demolish the Hill Top House structure, remove and haul away all debris, final grading, and all associated work in accordance with the project plans, standard specifications, special provisions, and as directed by the Director of Municipal Services. Work on the Project shall be completed within 30 working days based on the Caltrans 5 Day Working Day Calendar. The anticipated award date is August 9, 2022, and work must commence 10 days after the Notice of Award unless authorized by the Director of Municipal Services or his designee. The project is being paid for, in part, by funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Award of a contract is dependent upon HUD approval. SECTION 3 STATEMENT: This is a HUD Section 3 construction contract. Contractors and subcontractors must address the Section 3 employment work hours benchmarks for Section 3 Workers and Targeted Section 3 Workers as established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development at 24 CFR Part 75. APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM: Attention is directed to Sections 1777.5, 1777.6 and 1777.7 of the California Labor Code and Title 8, California Administrative code, Section 200 et seq. to ensure compliance and complete understanding of the law regarding apprentices. MINORITY AND WOMEN OWNED BUSINESS: Bidders will be required to document their status as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), a Women-owned Business Enterprise (WBE) or a non-MBE/WBE firm. Bidders that are not MBE/WBE firms will be required to make a good faith effort, and to document their efforts to include firms as part of the contract bid |
