Construction of Operations Control Center Modernization

As of December 13, 2023, the project has been cancelled but is expected to be rebid, however, a rebid date has not been established as of yet. The Work includes: A. BART's Operation Control Center (OCC) is past its useful life and needs renewal and upgrades to facilitate two of BART's key projects: Communications Based Train Control (CBTC) and BART Silicon Valley Phase II (BSVII). B. The Modernized Operations Control Center (MOCC) project goal is to provide a modernized OCC for next 10 years. The upgrades include CBTC specific infrastructure for Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) training, testing, and lab, and a new console and LED screen area to accommodate BSVII as well as the remodeling and renovation of the MOCC space with electrical, lighting, mechanical upgrades, and the installation of a new fire suppression system.
