Description

All procedures related to this process are in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 7C, Sub Section 54 & Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 7C, Sub Section 44 - 57 and according to the criteria described herein as it relates to designer services selection. The contract between the Owner and the Designer shall include continued designer services through design development, construction contract documents, bidding, award of construction contract(s), construction administration, final closeout and warranty period of the potential Project. The Up Island Regional School District has completed Mechanical and Electrical Design Drawings and Specifications as prepared by TE2 Engineering, dated January 19, 2022, for this project. Additionally, Architect is required to design and integrate a new emergency electrical generator and transfer switch for this project and modify existing electrical drawings as required to integrate emergency generated power. The selected Architect will be required to use these plans and specifications which are part of this RFQ package. The fee for designer services for all phases of this project is Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($75,000) Not to Exceed. One (1) original signed and sealed package to be mailed to Mark Friedman at Martha's Vineyard Public Schools, 4 Pine Street, Vineyard Haven, MA 02568, one (1) copy of the proposal to be emailed to Mark Friedman at mfriedman@mvyps.org and Aditya Modi at amodi@chacompanies.com with all information as required on Page 15 (Proposal Requirements) and must be submitted for the proposal to be accepted for consideration. Proposals are to be sealed and properly identified on the envelope as Architectural Services for Chilmark School, and sent or delivered to: Mark Friedman School Business Administrator & Chief Procurement Officer Martha's Vineyard Public Schools 4 Pine Street Vineyard Haven, MA 02568 The Awarding Authority for this project is the Up Island Regional School District. As such, it reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities or irregularities should it deem it to be in the best interests of the Awarding Authority.
