Description

The Project consists of constructing approximately 10,400 feet of 20-inch water line, 640 feet of 16-inch water line, 850 feet of 12-inch, 1,340 feet of 8-inch, and 320 feet of 6-inch water line and all appurtenances. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bidsshall be on a lump sum or unit price basis asindicated in the Bid Form. Documents may be obtained for a purchase price as listed on their website. All payments are to be made to Duncan Parnell. Prospective bidders must purchase Bidding Documents directly through Duncan Parnell in order to be considered an official plan holder. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bid proposals. ESCRIPTION. A. The following summary of work is a general description of work to be performed. This description does not supersede any other requirements of the Contract Documents. In general, the project includes constructing approximately 10,400 feet of 20-inch water line, 640 feet of 16-inch water line, 850 feet of 12-inch, 1,340 feet of 8-inch, and 320 feet of 6- inch water line and all appurtenances. B. Prior to beginning work the Contractor shall submit a detailed written project schedule for approval identifying the sequence and duration of each major work item. C. The general areas of work include the following: 1. Construction of new water line. 2. Construction of connections to existing system. 3. Pressure testing and chlorination of new water lines. 4. Restoration of surfaces including asphalt paving and ground stabilization
