Juvenile Justice Detention Renovation Project

The project consists of modifications to the Juvenile Detention Center, located at 1800 St. Mary Ave, Pensacola, 32501. The renovations will include the Office 217/218, Laundry 133, Dining 127, and Telecommunications Room 157. Office 217/218: The wall between the two offices will be demolished along with the small break counter and toilet room in Office 217. All existing plumbing and electrical devices, piping, conduit, circuits, etc. serving the space shall be disconnected and removed. Existing HVAC ductwork and fire protection piping shall remain and be modified to suite the renovation. The enlarged space will be outfitted as a multi-occupant officer supporting four owner-furnished/owner-installed workstations. New power, lighting, fire alarm, telecommunications, HVAC diffusers, fire protection sprinklers, etc. will be provided to support the new space function. Laundry 123: A new owner furnished/contractor installed washing machine shall be installed adjacent to the existing. The existing commercial dryer shall be relocated from adjacent to the existing washing machine to the3 northeast corner of the room. A new panelboard will be installed to support the new washing machine. The existing dryer electrical circuit shall be extended to the new dryer location. A new trench drain shall be provided along with hose bibs to support the new washing machine. Dining Room 121: Two new branch circuits shall be provided to support a new owner furnished/contractor installed ice cream machine. Telecommunications Room 157: The existing analog CCTV headend equipment shall be replaced with hybrid IP/analog equipment. The existing CCTV cameras and monitoring stations are existing to remain and shall be reconnected to the new headend equipment. Replacement of the equipment shall be phased and coordinated with Juvenile Detention Center staff.
