Description | Agency Name and Address Hingham, Town of Public Schools 220 Central Street Hingham MA 02043 Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. This is a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Elevator Filed Sub Bid Contractors under M.G.L. c. 149, for construction of a new Hingham Elementary School and associated site improvements (126,385 SF New Construction, 3 stories, 680 students) H210802ECS The Project consists of: Construction of a new 3 story building and associated site improvements for a 126,385 SF new elementary school facility. Work covered by the Contract Documents: The work to include, but to limited to, the installation of a complete ready for use facility in a phased occupancy as indicated to the limits and as indicated on the documents. Refer to Section 01 10 11 Project Milestones for the requirements of the phased occupancy which facilitates the Owner schedule of an un-interrupted educational plan. Work force requirements: 1. The General Contractor acknowledges the stringent requirements of the Owner with respect to the dates of Substantial Completion for various Portions of the Work, and recognizes that the construction schedule may require that work proceed on an accelerated basis. The General Contractor therefore agrees that the Work of his own forces and of his Subcontractors shall be performed on an overtime and/or double-shift basis if and to the extent necessary in order that the construction schedule be met. 2. Neither overtime nor double-shift work shall be grounds for any claims for compensation to the General Contractor or subcontractor. If the nature of overtime of double-shift work requires that the Owner and their agents provide personnel to operate the facility at times when they would not normally be present, such personnel costs shall be borne or reimbursed by the General Contractor |
