Description

The project generally consists of, but is not limited to, the following tasks: Construction of a one story, 1,500 SF unconditioned frame storage building with associated site work. The project will be constructed in one phase under two separate contracts. Written questions must be submitted to the Architect, dsanders@sanders-pc.com, 16125 Raccoon Ford Road, Culpeper, Virginia 22701, no later than 2:00 p.m., local prevailing time, on August 16, 2023. Bids shall be accompanied by a properly executed AIA Document A305, Contractor's Qualification Statement. Failure to provide this information with the bid form shall result in the bid being declared nonresponsive. A bid may not be modified, withdrawn or canceled by the bidder after the time and date designated for the receipt of bids and for 60 days thereafter except as provided by Section 2.2-4330, Chapter 7 of the Code of Virginia. Bidders should be prepared to start work following Bid Award in November. Bidders must be registered Class A contractors in the Commonwealth of Virginia in accordance with Title 54.1, Chapter 11 of the Code of Virginia, as amended. Bidders should have a minimum of (5) years demonstrated experience constructing projects of similar scope, cost and scale. A separate performance bond and a payment bond (AIA Document A312) for 100% of the contract amount, including any additions and/or deductions, shall be provided by the successful bidder. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities and/or reject any and all bids.
