South 10th Street Sewer Separation

South 10th Street is just over two thousand four hundred linear feet (2400 LF). The entire length of the road will receive a profile mill to be replaced with a two inch (2”) overlay along the entire length of the project from 8 th Avenue South to 14th Avenue South. Prior to the resurfacing, the project includes the installation of nearly one thousand nine hundred linear feet (1900 LF) of RCP Storm Pipe, one thousand five hundred seventy seven linear feet (1577 LF) of eighteen inch (18”) and the remaining three hundred twenty eight linear feet (328 LF) of twenty four inch (24”). In conjunction with this storm pipe, there will be thirteen (13) structures installed, nine (9) catch basins of various configurations and four (4) storm manholes. Much of this pipe will be installed below sidewalk and driveways, all of which will require removal and replacement, totaling approximately six hundred square feet (600 SF) of driveway pavement and four thousand three hundred square feet (4300 SF) of sidewalk. The new pavement and sidewalk will require new pedestrian friendly ramps. There are long sections of roadway (totaling nine hundred square yards (900 SY)) that will be cut and removed to install the new storm alignment and will be patched back with nine inch (9”) PCC before the final surface lift of HMA. Upon completion of the project, the disturbed areas will require turf restoration.
