Description | The project will reconstruct Matmor Road from E. Main Street to Gibson Road, and E. Gum Avenue from East Street to Matmor Road. The project will reconstruct the roadway using Full Depth Reclamation (FDR), update curb ramps to current accessibility standards (ADA), construct driveway and sidewalk repairs, install concrete bus pads, update traffic signal equipment/controllers, modify existing Radar Speed Feedback Sign system, minor storm drain improvements and restripe the roadway with narrower travel lanes, buffered bike lanes and green MMA bike lane system The City's estimated cost of the improvements for base bid only is $5,500,000 to $6,500,000 Any questions regarding the project shall be submitted in writing to CIP@cityofwoodland.org. All bids must be sealed and accompanied by cash, cashier's check, certified check, or Bid Bond made payable to the City in the sum of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid. For the purposes of this Section, the amount of the bid includes all additive alternates but does not include deductive alternates. The cash, cashier's check, certified check or bond shall be given as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a written contract within ten (10) work days after being requested to do so. The bid security will be declared forfeited if the successful bidder fails to comply within said time. Upon an award to the successful bidder, the security of bidders shall be returned in a reasonable period of time. Bidders are hereby notified that in accordance with the provisions of Public Contract Code section 22300, securities may be substituted for any monies which the City may withhold pursuant to the terms of this Contract to ensure performance. |
