Description | The project involves maintenance and rehabilitation of the existing shoreline revetments at the Magee Marsh Wildlife Area in Oak Harbor, Ohio. The proposed project includes the rehabilitation of a total of 6,817 linear feet of existing revetment in three repair areas: 1. BASE BID 1: Area 1 includes the rehabilitation of approximately 1,250 linear feet of existing revetment with new 1 to 2-ton limestone armor units to be placed at a 3H:1V slope and new 2 to 4-ton toe stone entrenched a minimum of 2 feet into the lakebed. 2. BASE BID 1: Area 2 includes the rehabilitation of approximately 5,317 linear feet of existing revetment with new limestone armor units, including 822 linear feet of new 1 to 2-ton armor stone placed at a 3H:1V slope, 3,500 linear feet of new 2 to 4-ton armor stone placed at a 2H:1V slope, and 995 linear feet of new 2 to 4-ton armor stone placed at a 1.5H:1V slope. The new armor stone will be supported by new 3 to 5-ton toe stone entrenched a minimum of 2 feet into the lakebed. The existing revetment material will be used as filter material for the new revetment. BID ALTERNATE 1: Area 3 is located along Turtle Creek and includes the rehabilitation of approximately 250 linear feet of existing bank stabilization with new 1 to 2-ton stone placed above the existing stone at a 1.5H:1V slope and new 2 to 4-ton toe stone. |
