Description

The Mental Health department located at the Orlando VA Medical Center (VAMC) sustained water damage to ceiling areas in both the east and west wings. The cause of the damage has been repaired and the facility requires repairs to return the ceiling to a 'like new' appearance. The Contractor shall furnish to the Government all labor, supervision, materials, tools, barriers, and equipment necessary to repair and return ceiling areas to a 'like new' appearance. In an effort to maintain building aesthetics, the Contractor shall use Fellert acoustical plaster (materials) to match the current ceiling finish. 2.1 West-wing ceiling damaged area is approximately 100 square feet (ft2); communal area. 2.2 East-wing ceiling damaged area is approximately 200 ft2; rooms 2C121 and 2C123. 2.3 Repairs shall follow all applicable building codes. This includes, but is not limited to National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Code NFPA 70, 2014 edition, NFPA 72, 2013 edition, and NFPA 101, 2012 edition. 2.4 Prior to performing any work, contractor personnel must report to the Government designee and obtain an escort to the work area each day. 2.5 The Contractor is required to establish containment area(s) using air-barrier(s) to minimize contamination of dust and debris outside the work area.
