Description | **As of September 29, 2022, project was awarded to Riverview Paving, awarded amount is $854,121.29.** Project as follows: Bid #M22-114 Milling & Resurfacing Shunpike Rd/Watchung Ave (C.R. 646) Bid #M22-114 Milling & Resurfacing, Shunpike Road/Watchung Avenue (C.R. 646) in the Township of Chatham and the Borough of Chatham for the Morris County Department of Public Works, Division of Engineering & Transportation consisting of, but not limited to, 35,494 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3" or Less, 4,305 Tons Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course, 2" Thick, 282 S.Y. Concrete Sidewalk, Reinforced, 6" Thick, 29 S.Y. Detectable Warning Surface, 624 L.F. 9"x20" Concrete Vertical Curb, 36 S.Y. Hot Mix Asphalt Driveway, 6" Thick, 17 S.Y. - Stone or Gravel Driveway, 6" Thick, 1,311 L.F. 9" x 6" Hot Mix Asphalt Curb, 135 L.F. Reset Granite Block Curb, Reconstructed & Reset Inlets, Warning & Regulatory Signs, 1 Unit Tree Removal (Over 12" to 18" diameter) in addition to other miscellaneous items. The County of Morris shall not be responsible for full or partial sets of Contract Documents, including addenda, obtained from any other source. Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, and the Bid number and title spelled out on the outermost packaging, addressed to the Purchasing Agent of the County of Morris. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) (not to exceed $20,000.00) of the total bid, payable to the County of Morris, as a guarantee that if the contract is awarded to the Bidder, they will enter into a contract and provide the necessary bonds and insurance as required by the County and the Division of Risk Management. Bid proposals shall be delivered to the Purchasing Agent either in person at the hour designated, or previous thereto, by delivery or mail, at the Morris County Purchasing Division, Room 517, 5th Floor, Administration & Records Building, PO Box 900, Morristown, New Jersey, 07963 0900. No bids shall be accepted after the designated time, and Morris County will not assume responsibility for bids forwarded by mail or delivery service, nor any other conveyance. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond and Maintenance Bond as specified in the Contract Documents. EACH BID MUST BE ACCOMPANIED WITH A CONSENT OF SURETY which states that the surety company will provide the Bidder with the performance bond specified in the Contract Documents in the event the Bidder is awarded the Contract. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. Bid and Proposal requests herein are solicited through a fair and open process, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.4 et seq. The vendor shall maintain all documentation related to products, transactions or services under this contract for a period of five years from the date of final payment. Such records shall be made available to the New Jersey Office of the State Comptroller upon request. Accordingly, we ask that Bidders/Respondents may wish to consider not attending the Bid Openings in person. We do note that if Bidders/Respondents choose to attend, they are required to be screened by Courthouse security. If they show any signs of illness, they will not be permitted access to the building. Due to the circumstances, during the bid opening process, a bid review and providing unit prices will not take place at the openings. Instead, this information will be posted online once available. Bidders/Respondents are encouraged to MAIL in bids and responses. If they must be hand delivered, the County of Morris has a drop box located outside of the Purchasing Office, 5th floor of the Administration and Records Building, 10 Court Street, Morristown, New Jersey.
