Description | Professional engineering consulting firms to provide engineering design, permitting, bidding and funding assistance, and construction services for expansion and upgrade of the Citys existing water reclamation facility. The project consists of design and upgrade of the City’s existing Wiley M. Nash Water Reclamation Facility (WRF). The existing facility has a current design annual average daily flow (AADF) capacity of 6.0 MGD provided by three (3) 2.0 MGD ‘Carrousel’ process treatment units followed by filtration, high-level disinfection and effluent disposal via public access reclaimed water (PAR) and/or surface water discharge. This project will increase AADF capacity from 6.0 MGD to 8.0 MGD, with the potential for future flow increases up to 10.0 MGD. The new facility will provide advanced wastewater treatment (AWT) capability for compliance with the total maximum daily load (TMDL) requirements established for Blue Spring. |
