Description

Project Goals: African American - 1.89%, Hispanic - 4.05%, Asian/Native American - 0.93 %. The Work shall include furnishing all tools, labor, materials, equipment, and miscellaneous items necessary for the complete construction and improvements of Spring Lake #2 Lift station that include the following: 1. Replacement of the existing 6-inch drain valve and actuator with an eccentric plug valve and spur gear electric actuator; 2. Replacement of the existing 12-inch flow control valves and actuators with eccentric plug valves and spur gear electric actuators; 3. Replacement of the existing repair couplings on the downstream side of the flow control valves with restrained flexible couplings; 4. Replacement of the existing pressure transmitters in the wet weather force main and connect to the force main through stainless steel taps; 5. Update and revise the drain valve control logic to begin 24 hours after either pump 3 or 4 has finished running and the all pumps off water level has been reached instead of initiating drain valve operation each time all pumps in the lift station turn off; 6. Installation of communication infrastructure at the Balcones WWTP to allow additional automated and operator control of the dry weather pumps at the Spring Lake #2 Lift Station; 7. Hardwire the Dry Weather Pumps to shut down when high level is detected at the Balcones WWTP Influent Lift Station; 8. Saw cutting the 6-feet x 6-feet wet well hatch opening and coat all exposed rebar with epoxy paint; 9. Installation of double leaf hatch doors made of aluminum and stainless-steel frame, rated for HS-20 loading with safety grating.
