Utica Park/Lightner Mine Expansion and Renovation

Design and build park facilities in accordance with a California Department of Parks and Recreation Rural Recreation and Tourism Grant within an existing park boundary (2.63 acres) and on an expansion area of 3.82 acres (6.45 total acres) in Angels Camp, Calaveras County, CA. This is Phase II of a two-phase project. Phase I includes designing and building a children's playground and is included in a separate RFP. Consultant(s) for this Phase II renovation and expansion need not be the same consultant(s) hired for the children's playground (Phase I). All questions (outside of those asked at the pre-submittal conference on January 17, 2023) should be submitted in writing and must be received by 2 p.m. on February 3, 2023, through PublicPurchase. o Construct one new amphitheatre o Construct one new Lightner Mine Interpretive Hiking Trail with parcourse and gathering areas o Renovate one Mark Twain Statue o Construct one new Mark Twain Statue o Construct one new Angels Creek trailhead kiosk o Renovate on large Pavilion with kitchen o Construct two new bocce courts o Construct one new Outdoor gym/exercise area o Constuct one new full-size sports hardcourt (lined for basketball and pickleball) o Construct one new playground (being completed under a separate RFP and not included in this proposal) o Construct one new bathroom building o Construct new lighting Acquire 3.82 acres in the City of Angels. Improve Utica Park by constructing new amphitheater, interpretive hiking trail and parcourse, Mark Twain Statue, trailhead kiosk, pavilion, bocce courts, outdoor gym equipment, basketball court, playground, and restrooms.
