Submission Deadline: October 11, , 5:00pm, Question Response Deadline: October 13, 2023, 5:00pm General work description: In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, replacement of the existing flooring and base in Buildings 627 and 629A of the Presidio of Monterey (POM), as further described in the Special Provisions. An original certified check or cashier's check payable to the order of the City of Monterey, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid amount shall be uploaded with each bid, as a guarantee that the bidder, if its bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Agreement. The bid bond must be notarized, include the embossed surety seal, and include a Power of Attorney if the signee is not an officer of the surety. The original certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond must be received by the City no later than 1 p.m. on the Bid Opening Date. In order to ensure that the original certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond is received by the deadline, the City recommends bidders use express mail or personal delivery.
