D264814, PIN 530837, FA Proj YS30-5308-373, Niagara Co., INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS: US Route 62 at NY Route 429 (Ward Road) and at Witmer Road, Town of Wheatfield., Incentive/Disincentive Provisions, Bid Deposit: 5% of Bid (~ $375,000.00) The proposed project is intended to address the safety deficiencies identified at the intersections of Ward Road at Niagara Falls Boulevard and Witmer Road/Oppenheim Park Entrance at Niagara Falls Boulevard in the Town of Wheatfield. Pedestrian facilities that do not meet safety standards are integrated into the proposed corrective measures. The current status of the project is In Development. The Bid Opening is expected to be in Spring 2022. Construction is expected to begin in Summer 2022. Construction is expected to be completed in Winter 2023/2024. Every bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check or bank cashier's check payable to the NYS Department of Transportation, in the sum of the amount shown on the proposal title page. Bonds must be on form CONR 391. Electronic bids must include an electronic bid bond. Federally Aided Contracts identify a DBE Goal, and 100% NY State Funded Contracts identify both MBE and WBE Goals. Contracts with 0% Goals are generally single operation contracts, where sub-contracting is not expected, and smaller size contracts -- both of which may present direct bidding opportunities for Small Business Firms, including, but not limited to, DBE or MBE and WBE.
