Competitive Contract for Laboratory Testing Services

A Bid Guarantee in the form of a properly executed individual or annual Bid Bond issued by an insurance or security company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey, cashier's check or certified check made payable unconditionally to the Township of Livingston in the amount of 10% of the bid submitted, not to exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00). The successful bidder shall simultaneously, with the delivery of the executed contract, submit an executed bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the acceptable bid as security for the faithful performance of this contract. Bidder shall with the delivery of the performance bond submit an executed payment bond to guarantee payment to laborers and suppliers for the labor and material used in the work performed under the contract. Failure to submit a labor and material bond with the performance bond shall be cause for declaring the contract null and void. The contract shall be awarded for a period of twelve (12) consecutive months unless otherwise noted in technical or supplemental specifications. Pursuant to requirements of N.J.A.C. 5:30- 5.1 et seq., any contract resulting from this bid shall be subject to the availability and appropriation of sufficient funds annually.
