Red Bridge Road Complete Street - Holmes Road to Wornall Road

Reconstruct and widen Red Bridge Road from Holmes Road to about 900’ west of Wornall Road. The construction will generally include reconstructing the westbound lanes and constructing a new median and eastbound lanes from Wornall Road to Oak Street and reconstructing the divided street between Oak Street and Holmes Road. A sidewalk is included on the north side of the road and a 10 foot wide multi-use path in to be constructed on the south side of Red Bridge Road. Minor street widening will occur on Wornall Road to the south and Red Bridge Road to the west of the intersection. Traffic signals will be replaced at Holmes Road and Wornall Road. Construction work elements will include: mobilization, removal of existing pavement and improvements, clearing and grubbing, grading, asphaltic concrete paving, aggregate base, concrete sidewalk and driveways, concrete multi-use path, concrete curb & gutter, storm drainage improvements including pipes, inlets and manholes, traffic signals, street lighting, water main relocation, pavement marking and permanent signing, landscaping, erosion control, traffic control, and appurtenant construction.
