Description

Construction contract for the rehabilitation and replacement of the Bird Creek Interceptor located within the Bird Creek neighborhood of Temple. Construction work includes 28 new manholes installed along the new alignment of approximately 4,200 lf of 30" gravity sewer pipe and 160 lf of 24", 10" or smaller gravity sewer pipes. This construction contract contains trenchless methods which include tunneling and auger boring totaling 1,600 lf of gravity sewer installation. Rehabilitation activities include 2 segments of sliplining totaling 1,150 lf, and an additional 16 manholes to be modified, removed or abandoned. This installation will occur mostly in street right-of-way with an expected 6,100 sy of asphalt repair.
