Description | 2,385 square feet, split-level, wood-frame building with men and women restrooms, concession space and storage room. Concrete slab on grade floors and metal roofing and siding. Demolition of existing wood-frame bleachers is also included in the work scope. Addenda may be issued for the purpose of clarification and/or revision of the Project Manual and/or Drawings. Addenda will be sent to known bidders and will become part of the Contract Documents. Any costs resulting from Addenda should be included in the Bid Sum. Direct all questions in writing to Aaron Gozart at the office of the Architect, email aaron@harborarchitects.com. Submit questions no later than (5) days prior to the date for receipt of Bids. Clarifications will be included in Addenda. A bid security, in the form of a certified check, bank cashier's check or bid bond is required with each Bid in an amount equal to (5) percent of the Base Bid, plus Additive Alternates, if any. Should a bidder fail to enter into an Agreement with the Owner and/or fail to furnish the bonds required by the Contract Documents within ten (10) days after his/her Bid has been accepted, the Contractor's Bid Security shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages, not as a penalty. Contractor shall secure, include costs therefore in the Bid, and pay for bonds issued by a bonding company with a Best's rating of "A," or better, and licensed to transact business in the State of Washington in Statutory Form. Liability under each of the bonds shall be 100 percent of the contract sum, including state sales tax, for: 1. Performance. 2. Labor and Material Payment. 3. One-year maintenance for correction of defective work. WA State Prevailing Wage Rates: Shall apply. The Aberdeen School District is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
