Columbus Street Tree Inventory Fall 2020

The following scope will serve as an intended framework of tasks to complete the entire project. For each Area of Interest (AOI) discussed in section 1 and pictured in maps 1-5, create the following deliverables: 1. Tree Inventory: GIS-based inventory of maintained street trees, planting sites, and stumps found along public rights-of-way (ROW) in the AOI with certified arborists. Record specific information about each site in the inventory database. Use as a reference the ANSI A300 Part 9 standards. Deliver the inventory data as Esri shapefiles and an Excel spreadsheet. 2. Inventory Summary Report & Management Plan: Summarize the inventory data in the AOI with information about the status of the tree population, maintenance needs, and tree planting opportunities. Prioritize recommended work activities chronologically. 3. Tree Planting Plan: Using the inventory data, City Forestry input, and best management practices, recommend specific tree species for each viable planting space to maximize climate resiliency, biodiversity, and ecosystem benefits to residents.
