Description | Renovation of a residential development in Eunice, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development. All work is to be at Eunice Housing Modernization, 2020 CFP (BA No. 2111): LA-25-1 (Acadian Village site): Replace10 (ten) electrical transformers (and related work). LA-25-2 (Maple Homes site): Replace 6 (six) electrical transformers (and related work). Replace all exterior door deadbolt locks and handsets with new and key to specified Master Key System (40 sets). LA-25-3 (12th Street site): Replace all exterior door deadbolt locks and handsets with new and key to specified Master Key System (40 sets). LA-25-3A (MLK site): Replace all exterior door deadbolt locks and handsets with new and key to specified Master Key System (60 sets) Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope, with the following information plainly marked on the outside of the envelope: 1. Bid for Eunice Housing Modernization, 2020 CFP 2. Name of Contractor, and 3. License Number of Contractor. Note to Prospective Bidders: Bidders are requested to pay particular attention to HUD Document 5370 (11/2006) related to Section 40 "Employment, Training, and Contracting Opportunities for Low-Income Persons, Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968." The full amount of deposit for 1 set will be refunded to each prime Bidder who submits a bona fide bid upon return of such set in good condition within 10 days after date of opening bids. All other deposits for complete sets will be refunded with deductions of 50% approximating reproduction and mailing costs upon return of same in good condition within 10 days after date of opening bids. Otherwise, the entire deposit may be retained by the Architect. Partial sets of documents will not be issued. This is a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development assisted project. Attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. Successful Contractor will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, creed, color, sex, age, or national origin. Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump-sum basis to a Bidder licensed under the provisions of the Contractors Licensing Law of the State of Louisiana. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the time and date of opening. Bid must be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of base bid. Both performance and payment bonds will be required in an amount equal to 100 percent of the Contract Price. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities. |
