E.L. Myrick State Farmers Market - Unit 2A Repairs Architect and Engineering Services

This request for SOQ proposals is intended to address scope of work objectives relating to architecture, mechanical and electrical systems engineering. Upon selection of the awarded firm, a design services proposal will be requested to complete all scope objectives for execution as a single project. Existing conditions must be surveyed to facilitate development of design plans, drawings and specifications that will be utilized for bidding, permitting and construction. 1. Exterior Envelope Repairs: The existing 2,675 square foot facility, Unit 2A, functions as a restaurant serving the State Farmers Market and the surrounding community. The aging condition and weathering of exterior substrates on the building envelope are contributing to numerous points of moisture intrusion. Replacement of exterior siding is required throughout with a proper weather barrier and flashings at fenestrations. Exterior wall construction shall be examined for framing repairs as necessary. Three windows on the South elevation will be replaced. A new roof system will be required over the primary structure as well as food service coolers. 2. Interior Alterations: Facility improvements required include selective interior wall substrate repairs, painting, flooring, and suspended acoustical ceiling system finishes. 3. Mechanical and Electrical System Improvements: Renovations to the existing mechanical system are required for optimal efficiency including replacement/ repair of HVAC air distribution equipment and minor plumbing repairs. Electrical improvements include distribution upgrades, lighting, life safety and code conformance updates as necessary.
