Description

The project includes 7,860 LF (1.48 miles) of new greenway construction, the rehabilitation of 2,340 LF of Stewart Creek Tributary 2 and a Wetland Stormwater Control Measure. The proposed mainline greenway will construct a 12-foot-wide greenway for 1.09 miles along Stewart Creek Tributary 2 beginning at Lakewood Avenue and ending at Yellowstone Dr. The greenway will include two 30-foot-long concrete slab bridge, a 62-foot-long pre-fabricated pedestrian bridge, two segmental block retaining walls and one soil nail wall. There will be one 12-foot-wide Y-line connection as well as five 10-foot-wide Y-line connections that will tie the greenway into various neighborhoods and access points. The stream rehabilitation will extend from Parkway Avenue to the confluence with Stewart Creek and will include the re-grading of the existing stream banks, the addition of in-stream structures and one segmental block retaining wall. A stormwater wetland is proposed to be constructed at the entrance of the Stewart Creek Greenway between Lakewood Avenue and Lakeview Street and contains 1.3 ac-ft of permanent pool volume, 2.0 acft of temporary storage and three segmental block retaining walls. Approximately 59 acres of drainage is conveyed to the proposed SCM, which is split by the Lakewood Tributary that feeds into Stewart Creek Tributary 2. The SCM is also proposed to contain two (2) outlet riser structures with trash racks.
