Description

All questions pertaining to the project must be submitted in writing to the City Engineer no later than seven (7) days prior to the bid opening. Failure to obtain the project documents as described will result in a non-responsive bid. Attention of bidders is called to the federal and Ohio Public Works Commission requirements contained in this bid packet, including insurance requirements, equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price. Only ODOT pre-qualified contractors are eligible to submit bids for this project. The following forms must be completed and submitted as the bid package: Bid Guaranty & Contract Bond, Experience Statement, Time of Completion, Addenda Acknowledgment, Non-Collusion Affidavit, Property Tax Affidavit, Homeland Security Form, Guernsey County 25% Requirement, OPWC Proposal Notes, and Proposal Forms. Failure to complete the above forms and submit same at the bid opening will result in a non-responsive bid. Each proposal must be accompanied by a bond with an approved surety company as surety, in the sum of 100 percent of the amount of the bid as surety for the execution of the contract, or certified check for the amount of 10 percent of the bid on some solvent bank within the City of Cambridge, and made payable to the Director of Public Service, Cambridge, Ohio. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its expenses on projects of similar size and complexity. The Owner intends and requires that this project be completed by November 22, 2023. Bidders must comply with prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Guernsey County and the City of Cambridge, Ohio as determined by Ohio Department of Industrial Relations wage rates. The estimated construction cost for PROJECT #23-01 is $311,800.00. The City of Cambridge reserves the right to reject any and all bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. By order of the Mayor, Cambridge, Ohio
