F--NCA PRWI Pleasants Fire Road Tree Work

Prince William Forest Park - Pleasants Fire Road Tree Work: work of this contract consists of the contractor furnishing all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to perform the cutting and removal of hazardous storm damaged, standing, fallen, broken trees, and the disposal of tree debris that are encroaching the full length and width of Pleasants Fire Road. The approximate length of this natural fire road is 4,627 feet long from chain gate to chain gate. The width of this road is 14 feet wide. This road shall be cleared of all tree debris. All pruning of tree limbs along this road shall be pruned back from road center to tree line in a uniformed pattern on both sides, and to a uniformed height of 20 feet high along the entire route of the road. All felled, lying trees will be removed and hauled away from the park by the contractor unless otherwise designated by the park COR, as so they can be relocated at another pre-determined area at the park. All usable tree debris shall be chipped into a recyclable material and spread out at a depth of no more than 3 inches in forest areas only, leaving no piles. All other unusable chipping debris will be loaded into trucks and hauled away. All remaining felled tree stumps shall be ground down flush with the ground that are within the14 foot established area of this fire road.
