Appropriate responses, where required, will then be issued by addendum to all plan holders prior to the date scheduled for submittal of bids all questions from the contractors must be must be delivered in writing to Tina Wright, Catawba County Purchasing Manager, via email to tinawright@catawbacountync.gov The project generally consists of the following: The Work to be performed under this Contract generally includes the alterations and additions for Catawba County Department of Social Services and other incidentals as shown on the Drawings and noted in the Specifications. The project is located at 3030 11 th Ave Dr SE, Hickory, North Carolina. Bidders shall obtain an invitation to the Dropbox folder by emailing business contact information including business name, business address, current email address and contact name and phone number with Bid Number 23-1021, Alterations and Additions for Catawba County DSS, in the subject line. Contract Documents are also available for examination at the Catawba County Purchasing Office, Government Center, 25 Government Drive, Newton, North Carolina, 28658. If forwarded by mail, the envelope containing the bid should be marked on the exterior: Alterations and Additions for Catawba County DSS (Bid No: 23-1021). Bids received will remain confidential until awarded. All bidders are notified that Catawba County has a verifiable five percent (5%) goal for participation by minority owned and women owned businesses in the total value of Work for which prime contractors are awarded pursuant to North Carolina General Statutes Section 143-128. All bidders are hereby notified that all contractors and sub-contractors working on the project site shall comply with Catawba County Substance Abuse/Drug-Free Policy and Catawba County Smoke-Free Policy. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after receipt of bids except as provided in Instructions to Bidders. All bidders are hereby notified that they must be properly licensed under the state laws governing their prospective trades. Bidders are also notified that applicable provisions of Chapter 87 of the General Statutes of the State of North Carolina shall be observed in the receiving of bids and awarding of contracts for the Work. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any and/or all bids.
